1. Who we are

This policy explains how Meander collects and uses your personal data when you take the How Wild Are You? quiz, view your results, and sign up for the Wildness email course. It also sets out your rights and how to exercise them.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use the quiz, we may collect:
  • Quiz answers – the responses you select during the quiz, used to calculate your Wildness archetype.
  • Your result – the archetype assigned to you (e.g. “The Sovereign”).
  • Email address – only if you choose to enter it.
  • Your name – only if you choose to add it to your profile.
  • Marketing preference – whether you opted in to the free Wildness email course.
  • Technical data – collected automatically, such as your IP address, approximate location, and device/browser type. We use this to keep the site secure and to record where and when you gave consent.
We do not require your email address to show you your quiz results.

3. How and why we use your data, and our legal bases

Under the EU GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your data. We rely on the following:

4. The Wildness email course (marketing)

  • This is optional – the box is unticked by default.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us at tom@meandermagazine.earth.
  • Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect anything you’ve already received.
If you did not tick the box, we will not use your email for marketing.

5. Who we share your data with

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the quiz and deliver emails. These are:

  • Resend – sending transactional emails (your results and sign-in links).
  • MailerLite – storing your email and sending the course and newsletter (if you opt in).
These providers act as our processors and only handle your data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may process your data outside the EEA (for example, Resend and Vercel are based in the United States). Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

7. How long we keep your data
